Job Summary/Description:

WDAM-TV / Gray Digital Media Pine Belt is looking for an energetic, strategic, and community-minded leader to join our team as Multimedia Sales Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven sales professional to help lead revenue growth across South Mississippi through both broadcast and digital platforms.
Serving the Pine Belt and surrounding communities, WDAM-TV has a long-standing reputation for local service, strong community connection, and trusted journalism. The Multimedia Sales Manager will play a key role in helping local and regional businesses grow by delivering effective, results-driven advertising solutions across television and digital media.

As Multimedia Sales Manager, you will work closely with the Director of Sales and the local sales team to drive revenue, develop new business, and strengthen client partnerships throughout the market. This organized and creative professional will help lead the station’s multiplatform sales efforts, support and coach Multimedia Executives, and champion innovative marketing strategies that combine the power of broadcast with the precision of digital.

The ideal candidate is a motivated leader who understands the value of local relationships, thrives in a fast-paced media environment, and can help position WDAM-TV / Gray Digital Media Pine Belt as a trusted advertising partner for businesses across the Pine Belt.

Duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Drive digital and broadcast revenue growth with a focus on new business development and local direct sales
• Work in tandem with the Director of Sales to execute strategic revenue initiatives and achieve station goals
• Assist Multimedia Executives with prospecting, presentations, proposals, packaging, and closing business
• Provide ongoing digital and broadcast training, coaching, and sales support to the local sales team
• Help develop customized, results-driven marketing solutions for advertisers across multiple platforms
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, agencies, and community business leaders
• Develop compelling sales presentations and collateral using market research, data, and consumer insights
• Maintain campaign tracking, reporting, optimization, and follow-through to ensure client satisfaction and campaign success
• Work at a consultative level as an expert in digital advertising and multiplatform marketing solutions
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, and achievement of quota goals
• Recruit, coach, and help develop top sales talent
• Communicate effectively across sales, traffic, digital, and other internal departments to ensure campaigns are executed as sold
• Create and implement strategies that increase market share and grow long-term revenue
• Maintain a strong understanding of current advertising trends, media products, and emerging digital opportunities
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by station leadership

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in Broadcast and/or Digital required
• 2 years of sales management experience preferred
• Proven ability to develop new business and grow revenue
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational, critical thinking, and time management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience creating strategic marketing solutions and presenting to clients with confidence
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record may be required
