Technical Lead - Vehicle Multimedia Systems
Plano,ย Texas (Onsite)

Description

The Multimedia (MM) Technical Lead will be responsible for leading, executing, and delivering the cross-generation / cross-domain MM program from a technical and architectural perspective.

Looking for a Technical lead with a strong development background who can deepโ€‘dive into technical issues, understand multimedia architecture, and drive resolution in a fastโ€‘paced environment. The ideal candidate will have handsโ€‘on development experience, currently leading a team, and possess the ability to identify problem areas quickly and coordinate crossโ€‘functional teams to ensure milestone commitments are met.

Responsibilities:

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Develop strong understanding of multimedia architecture (Head Unit, Navigation, Voice assistant, Media, SXM, Connected audio etc).

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Responsible for multimedia product from planning, development, launch to quality assurance and release.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Support on aligning overall vehicle milestones and SW release schedule with stakeholders by collaborating with headquarter in Japan.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Define the project development scope for NA region considering situation conditions (budget, resources, capabilities, schedule).

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Manage supplier for schedule alignment and risk mitigation.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Collaborate with program managers and product owners to assess the risk and make decisions accordingly.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Triage in-market issues especially cross-domain area including deep-dive in technical discussions. (specification study, user impact analysis, system architectural review)

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Communicate with quality, factory teams to align on overall vehicle milestones and address any issue/risk points with countermeasure plan.ย

Requirements

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  3+ years of proven experience in vehicle multimedia development.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Strong understanding of automotive multimedia (MM) related hardware and software stacks.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Expert on PowerPoint and strong presentation skills.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to work in fast paced teams with quick decision making.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Possess strong technical and product management skills to communicate and drive suppliers / stakeholders

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Ability to work closely with design, software, firmware, testing and manufacturing teams.

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Strong problem solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and resolve issues promptly.

Nice to Haves:

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Executive reporting experience

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย  Business Japanese communication skills (read/write) is not mandatory but a big plus
