Tenaska is one of the largest privately held companies in the United States, an organization that’s adept in natural gas and power marketing, power management, development and acquisition of generation assets, operation of power plants and more.

Job Summary:

The Sr. Graphics & Multimedia Specialist is responsible for developing visual communications, multimedia content, presentations and branded materials that support Tenaska’s business objectives.

This role manages assigned design and multimedia projects, partners directly with internal stakeholders and translates business objectives into polished visual communications. The position expands the department’s creative capacity through advanced design and multimedia execution under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Graphics & Multimedia.

Essential Job Functions:

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Management

  • Partner directly with Public Relations staff, business units and internal stakeholders on assigned projects.
  • Independently manage multiple concurrent creative projects while balancing deadlines and business priorities.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors, printers, photographers and production partners, as needed.

Graphic Design & Visual Communications

  • Execute complex graphic design projects from concept through final production.
  • Develop high-quality internal and external materials including presentations, event collateral, signage, fact sheets, infographics, maps, digital assets and other branded materials.
  • Ensure consistency with Tenaska brand standards and visual communication expectations.
  • Support the ongoing development and refinement of presentation templates, branded communication materials and creative assets.
  • Create graphics and visual assets to support social media communications, as needed.

Presentation Development

  • Design and develop high-quality presentations for business units, conferences, execution support needs and internal initiatives.
  • Partner with stakeholders to organize content, simplify messaging and create visually compelling presentation materials.
  • Support high-visibility presentation development in collaboration with the Sr. Manager, Graphics & Multimedia.

Multimedia Production

  • Execute photography, videography and multimedia projects as assigned.
  • Support video preparation, editing, multimedia asset organization and content maintenance.

Special Projects & Events

  • Under the direction of the Sr. Manager, Graphics & Multimedia:
    • Support creative development and execution for:
      • December Annual Meeting, Holiday Party and New Employee events
      • Business unit, plant and corporate anniversary events
      • Community relations events supporting existing power plants
      • Conferences and external marketing initiatives.

Education/Experience/Skills:

Basic Requirements

  • Associates degree in graphic design or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in graphic design and/or multimedia role

Preferred Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge and experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, Premiere Pro
  • Proficient with photography, videography, Wordpress, Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel), Canva
  • Attention to detail, sound judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to execute a number of parallel tasks and work with cross-functional teams
  • Positive, self-starter attitude and desire to exceed at every opportunity
  • Passion for building and launching new projects
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload
