Position Title: Multilingual Learner (ML) Building Liaison (Anticipated)
Locations: One (1) position at each district school (5 total positions)
Reports To: District Multilingual Learner (ML) Administrator, Dr. James Gonzalez
Compensation
A stipend of $1000.00 will be provided to each participating staff member through applicable Federal Funds (Title III). Five (5) positions are available. (Account #: 20-241-200-101-000-046)
Position Summary
The ML Building Liaison serves as the building-level point of contact to support the implementation of the district's Multilingual Learner (ML) program. The liaison collaborates with the District ML Administrator, building administrators, and teachers to ensure effective program implementation and support for multilingual learners.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Meet monthly with the District ML Administrator.
  • Meet regularly and collaborate with the building administrator regarding ML program implementation and student needs.
  • Coordinate multilingual learner schedules within the assigned building.
  • Collaborate with teachers to support multilingual learners and program implementation.
  • Assist with maintaining ML instructional programs and services.
  • Organize and maintain ML instructional materials and program supplies.
  • Coordinate and support state and district testing for multilingual learners.
  • Communicate building needs, student updates, and program information to the District ML Administrator.
  • Perform other duties related to the ML program as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate required.
  • Experience working with multilingual learners.
  • Strong organizational, communication, collaboration, and technology skills.
