Job Title: 3rd Grade Math Teacher

Location: Jacksonville, FL – Discovery Campus

Job Type: Full-Time | 10-Month Contract

Salary: Starting at $51,000 (based on experience)

Job Summary-

Global Leadership Academy is seeking a qualified and passionate 3rd Grade Math Teacher to provide standards-based instruction and support student achievement in mathematics. The ideal candidate will create an engaging classroom environment, build strong foundational math skills, use data to drive instruction, and collaborate with staff and families to promote student success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities-

Deliver standards-aligned math instruction using Florida B.E.S.T. Standards

Develop and implement lesson plans that build number sense, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

Assess student progress and use data to inform instruction and interventions

Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs

Maintain a structured and positive classroom environment

Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress

Collaborate with teachers, instructional coaches, and school staff

Participate in professional development and school meetings

Minimum Qualifications-

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

Valid Florida Elementary Education Certification (K–6 or PK–3)

Knowledge of math instruction and classroom management strategies

Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of teaching experience

ESOL Endorsement

Reading Endorsement

Work Schedule-

Monday through Friday

8-hour shift
