This position provides strategic leadership and oversight for Transfer Services, supporting students in transitioning from associate degree programs to baccalaureate degree granting institutions. Responsibilities include managing the budget, offering personalized transfer guidance, coordinating with internal departments and external institutions, and developing promotional materials and workshops. The position fosters strong relationships with GTCC faculty and transfer schools, organizes transfer events, and ensures staff are trained in relevant transfer resources. It also involves maintaining digital platforms, conducting annual service reviews, and collaborating across departments to enhance student success.
This position provides academic advising and support services to new and returning students pursuing certificates, diplomas, and degrees. They assist students in developing and evaluating educational plans, offer accurate program and course information, and guide students through orientation, placement test interpretation, and program selection. Advisors support students face-to-face and online with course selection, withdrawals, program changes, and registration tools. They also help students explore career options and determine their major through self-assessment resources. Oversees a caseload of students, maintaining regular contact throughout the semester to ensure they stay on track with their academic pathway.
Min Salary $56,391.86 Mid Salary $63,440.85- We offer a competitive salary package that will be determined based on the candidate's experience level and qualifications related to the job. KSA Required
Exhibit skills in interpersonal relations, verbal and written communications, administration, and supervision.
Ability to adapt to current situations, changing environments, and resource limitations
Possess excellent interpersonal skills in the areas of collaboration, team participation, creative problem-solving, conflict resolution, group planning, and decision-making processes
General knowledge and experience working with traditional, non-traditional, and multicultural post-secondary students.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, faculty, staff, administration, and the public.
Ability to develop and implement initiatives to promote post-degree transfer success working with students enrolled in college transfer degree programs.
Ability to plan budgets to focus resources on the achievement of the college's strategic plan.
Demonstrated effectiveness and sensitivity to a multicultural environment and a commitment to campus-wide educational equity; proven comprehensive skills to advocate for the inclusivity of diverse student populations.
Ability to analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, make informed recommendations based upon reasonable projections of results, and then implement the chosen course of action to achieve the projected result.
