Job description

Role Summary

The Portfolio Manager will join the Models Portfolio Management team in the Multi-Asset Division, co-managing a growing suite of model portfolio solutions for the wealth management channel, including core portfolios and customized strategies. This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in one of the firm's fastest-growing and strategically important investment areas, with direct impact on a multibillion-dollar franchise.

The Portfolio Manager will help shape strategic and tactical asset allocation decisions across global equities, fixed income, and alternative investments. The individual will play a key role in asset allocation, investment selection, risk oversight, and the development of tailored model portfolio solutions that meet the needs of advisors and their clients.

The ideal candidate will bring deep multi-asset investment expertise, knowledge of the model portfolio channel, strong portfolio management experience, and the ability to translate market views and investment insights into scalable, client-oriented solutions. The successful candidate will also be a strong communicator, with the presence and credibility to engage effectively with external clients, distribution partners, and other internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Portfolio Management:

  • Co-manage a suite of multi-asset model portfolios across risk profiles, objectives, tax considerations, and wealth management use cases.
  • Formulate strategic and tactical asset allocation decisions across global equities, fixed income, alternative investments, and other diversifying exposures.
  • Contribute to portfolio design, investment selection, rebalancing decisions, and implementation of investment views across model portfolios.
  • Work closely with risk and investment analytics teams to monitor portfolio exposures, factor risks, and performance attribution.
  • Participate in or lead internal investment discussions, including recommendations on asset allocation shifts, investment selection and risk management.

Custom Models Solutions:

  • Design and manage custom model portfolios that align client-specific objectives, constraints, tax considerations, and implementation requirements with the team's investment perspectives.
  • Develop scalable approaches for custom model construction, including allocation frameworks and rebalancing guidelines.
  • Partner with product and distribution teams to understand market demand, competitive positioning, and opportunities to enhance the model portfolio offering.

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Translate investment insights into clear, compelling communications, including trade updates, quarterly reviews, presentation materials, and white papers.
  • Partner with distribution teams to support platform due diligence, client reviews, webinars, and other client engagement activities, including travel as appropriate.
  • Clearly articulate portfolio positioning, market views, investment rationale, and performance drivers to external clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on multi-asset portfolio construction, model portfolio usage, custom model design, and wealth management implementation.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required AND
  • 10+ years of relevant investment experience, with a focus on multi-asset strategies.
  • Advanced degree (CFA, MBA, or equivalent)

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated track record of success in managing multi-asset portfolios.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior investment professionals and influence organizational outcomes.
  • Outstanding analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong project leadership skills and the ability to drive initiatives to completion.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, global environment.
  • Experience in the model portfolio delivery.
  • Commercial mindset and an understanding of advisor, platform, and end-client needs.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.
