Job description

Position:ย  District MTSS Coordinatorย 

Location:ย  All District 90 Schools

Starting Date: August 2026

Salary/Benefits: BA, Step 1, $54,579 to MA+60, Step 25, $124,877. (Additional compensation may be available for stipend opportunities.) TRS Pension and sick leave. If selected, other benefits include medical, dental, and life insurance, HRA, Roth, 403b, and 457 investment options, flex spending, etc.

Qualifications:

  1. Valid Illinois Professional Education License
  2. A Master's Degree is preferred
  3. At least 3 years of successful experience in a school setting as an interventionist, teacher or special education teacher
  4. Knowledge of Illinois Learning Standards (otherwise known as Common Core State Standards), Universal Design for Learning and evidence-based specially designed instruction is preferred
  5. Candidate must possess an advanced understanding of the MTSS process and best practices including alignment with special education eligibilityย 

Responsibilities: The individual selected for this coordinator position will be supporting Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) processes in all schools by assisting teams with data collection, planning, implementing, and monitoring interventions.ย  The coordinator will provide professional learning for teachers and interventionists to ensure high quality intervention and progress monitoring that meet the targeted needs of students.ย  The coordinator will also collaborate with classroom teachers, school-based instructional teams, school leaders, and external professional development providers to design and execute the District 90 MTSS vision and implementation plan. The coordinator will also be responsible for the coordination of Summer School programs and services, including staffing, registration, scheduling, and advance communication. (Summer school coordination occurs prior to the first day of summer school).
