Position: Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) Instructional Coach - one year position (Posting number 2627-3778)
Location: Klem Road North Elementary School
Dates: August 26, 2026 - June 26, 2027
Requirements: Must have NYS Certification as a K-6 or 1-6 Childhood Teacher
We strongly welcome candidates with the following qualifications:
  • Previous successful teaching experience, preferably in elementary and/or special education settings
  • Strong ability to collaborate and build positive relationships with staff at all levels
  • Demonstrated skill in designing and delivering targeted, explicit instruction to meet diverse learner needs, including students with IEPs
  • Exemplify the WCSD Essential Skills and Core Beliefs
  • Knowledge and understanding of evidence-based instructional practices, high-quality instructional materials, and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS)
  • Strong ability to analyze student data to inform instruction and interventions

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with teachers to implement evidence-based instructional strategies to support all learners, with a focus on students with disabilities
  • Coaches staff in the use of high-quality instructional materials and targeted, small-group tutoring strategies to close achievement gaps
  • Implements and manages the school's small group tutoring program, including scheduling, staffing coordination, family communication, monitoring student progress, and adjusting supports as needed
  • Supports the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports - Integrated (MTSS-I) through modeling, observation, and feedback
  • Schedules and conducts classroom observations, providing actionable and supportive feedback to improve instruction
  • Builds strong relationships with teachers by meeting regularly outside of instructional time to plan and reflect on practice
  • Facilitates collaboration among classroom teachers, case managers, and tutors to ensure consistent, coordinated support for students
  • Visits other schools in the district to identify and share best practices
  • Meets weekly with building administration to review progress toward instructional goals and refine coaching priorities
  • Serves as a resource for research-based practices, ongoing job-embedded professional development, and professional learning communities

Salary: As per current Webster Teachers Contract as well as education and experience.
