VGM Gov Biz is the leader in mobility sector, specializing in supporting local government para-transit operations. For the past five years we have been one of the NYC MTA leading transportation suppliers under the Access-a-Ride Program. Our fleet of vehicles is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and safety features to ensure a comfortable and secure ride for our driver and passengers. Based on growth we are seeking an addition dispatcher to support operations.
Job Description:
The Dispatcher will be responsible for ensuring efficient and timely coordination of drivers, vehicles, and customers using our customer software integrated with the MTA.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Monitor trips during shift to and optimize routes to make sure drivers arrive on time
  • Receive manifests on and daily basis
  • Work closely with MTA "Command Center" at ensure close coordination of supply and demand
  • Maintain daily note on driver behavior, accident, used for performance improvement
  • Speak with supervisors and customers to resolve problems
  • Ensure all records are up to date
  • Manage to target on-time-performance
  • Must be able to work onsite, this is not a remote role and must be able to communicate clearly to drivers and passengers
  • Must be able to work with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Other duties are assigned at any given time

Qualifications Needed:
  • Basic computer skills are a must
  • Ability to work in fast-moving environments
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitasking skills
  • 2 years of Experience in transportation or logistics companies
  • Basic Knowledge of Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms) or Excel
