Job description

Position Summary

The Regional Scheduler is responsible for coordinating, building and optimizing daily planning across assigned facilities. This role ensures accurate order execution, efficient load building, and proactive order communication between operations, sales, and transportation teams. The Regional Scheduler plays a critical role in balancing capacity and meeting delivery expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the daily shipping schedule, prioritizing loads based on Ready-to-Ship (RTS) status, delivery requirements, and customer expectations
  • Balance order files to align with capacity constraints and service commitments
  • Build and optimize truckloads and routes, including both single-stop and multi-stop shipments and transmit to the Transportation Management System (TMS)
  • Apply routing logic to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve on-time performance
  • Ensure adherence to standardized order entry
  • Partner with site teams to confirm orders are entered accurately and completely
  • Identify and address gaps in order delivery visibility timelines and expectations
  • Notify Transportation and internal stakeholders of production delays, incomplete materials, or load readiness issues
  • Serve as a key liaison between operations, sales, and transportation to ensure alignment and transparency
  • Coordinate and schedule customer delivery appointments as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in transportation planning, logistics, or scheduling
  • Knowledge of truck routing and load building
  • Experience working with MSR or order management systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
