Job Summary:
ClearEdge is a mission-focused company solving some of the DoD’s most complex technical challenges. As a Database Engineer III, you will provide technical expertise across the full database lifecycle, leading the design and implementation of database solutions to support mission-critical operations.
Responsibilities:
• Leading the design, development, and implementation of database solutions
• Developing and maintaining database parser and loading software
• Supporting data flow, information storage, retrieval, and analysis activities
• Translating requirements into database schemas through ad hoc queries, scripts, and macros
• Developing and updating complex queries and data manipulation procedures
• Contributing to system improvements, optimization, and maintenance planning
• Designing database structures that align with system architecture and performance goals
• Evaluating and making tradeoffs between data volume, user load, distribution, response times, retention, and security
Qualifications:
Required:
• TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
• Five (5) years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
• Five (5) additional years of DBE experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree
Preferred:
• Proficiency in SQL, scripting, and database integration tools
• Experience with cloud-based database storage and retrieval solutions
• Familiarity with performance tuning and version control systems
• Understanding of data security, retention rules, and access controls
