Overview

Clinical Coordinator responsibilities include assisting Manager in the following areas: overseeing MRI Department
daily operations and staff development; staff schedules; Kronos; organization and scheduling of affiliated MRI student
programs; quality improvement initiatives; training in new imaging technologies, guidelines and protocols; case
review and lecture series; data entry and statistical reporting and patient education. Works with manager to plan ,
develop, and facilitate modality operations. Coordinates activities associated with and supports program needs to
meet accreditation requirements

Responsibilities
1. Responsible for daily operation of the MRI Departments.
2. Achieves and maintains all necessary paperwork and policies for accreditations, Joint Commission, and State
requirements.
3. Gathers statistics, completes reports, and performs other duties as scheduled or requested.
4. Schedules staff to provide adequate staffing in all areas of the departments.
5. Facilitates learning environment for students and new hires.
6. Assists the manager in delivery of staff education. Ensures staff competencies are current and up to date.
7. Communicates clearly, concisely and effectively. Provides accurate and consistent interpretation and
application of Human Resource policies.
8. In coordination with modality Manager delivers coaching and corrective action as needed.
9. In coordination with modality Manager participates in the completion of employee performance evaluations.
10. Assists manager with daily operations including clinical care, KRONOS, scheduling, accreditation.
11. Prepares summary for Quality Assurance meeting for Accreditation. Provides and organizes education.
12. Meets performance expectations for Customer Service, Teamwork, Resource Utilization, and Staff and Self
Development as outlined in performance review.
13. Performs competencies and education as needed.
14. Acts as covering supervisor in the manager's absence.
15. Assists as needed throughout delivery network.
16. Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the departments.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Graduate of an Accredited MRI program. Bachelor's degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Three years' experience in an acute care setting. Demonstration of potential for management and leadership by
previous experience and education. MR Safety officer (MRSO) required within 1 year.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Demonstrate effective leadership skill. Certification In Specialty Area, B-Cen, Required Within Two Years Of
Occupying Position.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
ARRT MRI required. MRSO within one year of hire. BLS Certification required.
