Job description

Our client, a growing manufacturer electrical equipment, is seeking an Engineering Project Coordinator to support the successful execution of customer orders from order entry through engineering, procurement, and manufacturing.
This role serves as the central point of coordination, ensuring engineering deliverables, documentation, and order milestones stay on track while providing visibility to internal teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate customer orders from engineering release through production.
  • Review and validate sales order documentation, resolving missing or unclear information.
  • Assign engineering tasks, maintain timelines, and monitor order progress.
  • Track engineering deliverables including drawings, BOMs, ECNs/ECOs, and technical documentation.
  • Maintain accurate order records, approvals, submittals, and engineering documentation.
  • Coordinate engineering responses to customer questions, clarifications, and change requests.
  • Manage engineering changes by coordinating impact assessments and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Maintain dashboards, engineering trackers, ERP/MRP updates, and document repositories.
  • Identify project risks or delays and escalate issues to support on-time delivery.
  • Support order closeout, documentation archiving, and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in project coordination, order management, manufacturing operations, or engineering support.
  • Understanding of engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and engineering change processes (ECN/ECO).
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Epicor, NetSuite, or similar.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and order-tracking tools.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple customer orders in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in engineered-to-order (ETO) or configure-to-order (CTO) manufacturing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, document control systems, or engineering workflows is preferred.
