Job description

Moving Associate

Position Summary:

As a Summer Moving Associate, you will support the successful execution of moving jobs by loading, unloading, and transporting furniture, equipment, and household items. This role is critical in ensuring that the moves are completed safely, efficiently, and to the satisfaction of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

 • Load and unload trucks with care, ensuring the protection of items during transit 

• Pack and wrap furniture and household items securely using moving pads, shrink wrap, and other protective materials 

• Disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed 

• Navigate items through tight spaces such as hallways, stairs, and elevators without damage 

• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent personal and property damage. • Maintain a clean and organized moving truck and work environment 

• Communicate professionally with clients, team members, and dispatch.

 • Provide exceptional customer service throughout each move.

 • Operate hand trucks, dollies, and other moving equipment as needed 

• Assist with inventory and documentation when required.

 • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and expectations

Requirements:

 • Prior experience in residential or commercial moving (1+ year preferred) 

• Ability to lift and carry 75+ lbs. regularly 

• Reliable transportation to and from dispatch locations 

• Strong communication and teamwork skills 

• Excellent customer service attitude and professionalism

 • Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends, and extended hours when needed 

• Must be punctual, dependable, and hard-working 

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with furniture disassembly/reassembly 

• Familiarity with proper lifting techniques and safety protocols 

• Valid driver’s license is a plus (not required)
