Primary Objectives of Position:

  • Provide mechanical & tire service in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist in achieving the cooperative’s mission and goals
  • Perform every task with outstanding customer service
  • Adhere to all cooperative, federal, and state policies and procedures
  • The ability to be flexible moving from job to job to keep all departments working  
  • Ability to complete tasks in field situations unsupervised  

Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Communicating with customers regarding their needs
  • Repair and maintenance of customer and company equipment
  • Inspecting and assessing tire tread levels, wear patterns, valve quality, and tire overall health
  • Recommending appropriate treatment or replacement of tire
  • Repairing punctures and replacing faulty valves as needed
  • Installing new tires per equipment specifications
  • Balancing tires and completing wheel alignment procedures
  • Keep accurate records of all service time and parts used
  • Inform supervisor of inventory needs
  • Ability to work well with others to accomplish a goal (teamwork)
  • Perform vehicle repairs within guidelines of shop equipment provided only

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL License
  • Familiar with DOT guidelines for equipment repair
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs frequently
  • Familiar Experience with vehicle repair Â
