Seasonal Moving Crew Member
Location: District Campuses (HISD)
Duration: May - August (as needed)
Hours: Variable; based on moving and project needs
Position Summary:
The Seasonal Moving Crew Member supports campus and district operations by assisting with the relocation of furniture, equipment, and materials during summer months. This position plays a key role in preparing campuses for the upcoming school year, including moves related to maintenance, construction, and organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Move boxes, furniture, and other items between classrooms, offices, and campus locations
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials from trucks or storage areas
  • Set up and arrange furniture and equipment as directed
  • Maintain organization and care of items during transport
  • Follow directions from campus principals and district construction team
  • Ensure safe handling of all items and adherence to basic safety practices

Qualifications:
  • No prior experience required
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including heavy lifting and extended periods of standing/moving
  • Dependable and able to follow directions
  • Team-oriented with a strong work ethic

Staffing:
  • Seeking 2 3 adult workers and 2 student workers

Compensation:
