Motivational Interviewing Associate - OneQuest Health
OneQuest Health utilizes Motivational Interviewing (MI) modalities to work with families who have children and adolescents of all ages. You will provide, at a minimum, weekly one-hour to 3-hour, home-based family work sessions with clients based on assigned modality. You will be required to carry a caseload of 5-6 families, providing services anywhere from eight to 26 weeks/ 3 to 6 months. This position requires flexibility in hours to meet with families when they are available, which includes evening and weekend hours.
You will receive training in Motivational Interviewing (MI) models as you begin working with families, youth, and their communities. Extensive research has proven the effectiveness of MI evidence-based practices. MI Associates must remain flexible and relentless in an effort to establish a mutually respectful relationship, in which the family is a full partner and empowered to solve their own problems. You must possess a fundamental belief in the capacity of people to grow and change.
Working a flexible schedule, you will provide direct clinical treatment utilizing the MI treatment models and principles. Some principles include leveraging strengths and focusing on the positive, understanding sequences of behavior, and creating treatment plans which include powerful strategies that pave the way for motivating individuals and families to become more adaptive and successful in their own lives.
You will conduct a thorough assessment of the client and family: gather information on behaviors of concern and strengths in the family to inform conceptualization of the problem behaviors and interactions within the family's context.
You will dedicate time to weekly case planning and evaluation of case progress, with ongoing support from your supervisor and team members.
You will receive regular training, professional development, supervision, and consultation activities designed to help you acquire extensive clinical skills within the MI treatment models.
You must have:
  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) (or closely related degree in Human Services).
  • Two years' experience in behavioral health preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in providing individual and family service delivery utilizing evidence-based treatment models.

Wage: $46,000- $50,000 annually - Full Time
