How much do monitoring aide jobs pay per hour?

As of Jun 23, 2026, the average hourly pay for monitoring aide in the United States is $16.15, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $13.94 and $18.03 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

Monitoring Aides typically do not earn $2000 a day; such high daily pay is usually associated with specialized roles like surgeons, corporate executives, or certain consulting positions. These roles often require advanced skills, certifications, or extensive experience. Most entry-level or support roles in monitoring or healthcare pay significantly less daily.

What skills do monitoring assistants need?

Monitoring aides need strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow protocols accurately. They should have good communication skills, basic computer knowledge, and the ability to work in a team environment, often requiring patience and reliability in a supervisory or caregiving setting.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Monitoring Aide, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Monitoring Aide, you need strong observational skills, attention to detail, and often a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with surveillance systems, reporting software, and security protocols is typically required. Reliability, clear communication, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are crucial soft skills for this role. These skills ensure accurate monitoring, quick response to incidents, and contribute to maintaining safety and security within the environment.

What is the least stressful healthcare job?

Monitoring aides typically have lower stress levels compared to other healthcare roles because their responsibilities mainly involve observing patients and recording data without direct patient care. The work environment is often predictable, with regular hours and minimal emergency situations, making it a less stressful healthcare position.

What are some common challenges Monitoring Aides face when ensuring compliance and accurate reporting?

Monitoring Aides often encounter challenges such as managing large volumes of data, staying attentive during routine checks, and ensuring clear communication with other team members. They must remain detail-oriented to accurately document findings and report any discrepancies or compliance issues. Collaborating with supervisors and other staff is crucial to address incidents promptly and maintain the integrity of monitoring processes. Adapting to new policies and technologies may also be required as procedures evolve.

What is the difference between Monitoring Aide vs Patient Care Assistant?

AspectMonitoring AidePatient Care Assistant
CertificationsBasic training, sometimes CPR certificationCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification often required
Work EnvironmentHospitals, nursing homes, outpatient clinicsHospitals, nursing homes, long-term care facilities
Job ResponsibilitiesMonitoring patient vitals, observing patient conditions, reporting to nursesAssisting with daily activities, bathing, feeding, and basic patient care

Monitoring Aides primarily focus on observing and reporting patient conditions, often working under supervision, while Patient Care Assistants provide direct personal care and support to patients. Both roles are essential in healthcare settings but differ in responsibilities and required certifications.

What jobs pay 10,000 a month without a degree?

Monitoring Aide roles typically do not pay $10,000 per month without advanced skills or experience. High-paying jobs that can reach this level without a degree often include sales, real estate, or entrepreneurship, but they usually require significant effort, skills, or certifications. Most roles with such high earnings involve specialized knowledge or business ownership rather than entry-level positions like Monitoring Aide.

What are Monitoring Aides?

Monitoring Aides are individuals responsible for overseeing specific environments or activities to ensure rules and safety regulations are followed. They often work in settings like schools, public transit systems, or government facilities, where they monitor behavior, report incidents, and assist with maintaining order. Their duties may also include checking for hazards, assisting visitors, and providing basic support to staff and the public. Monitoring Aides play a vital role in creating a safe and orderly environment. The exact responsibilities can vary depending on the employer and setting.
