Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Monitor Technician/Unit Secretary to join our Medical-Surgical Telemetry team. This role provides essential secretarial and administrative support to the nursing unit while assisting nurses in monitoring cardiac rhythms of telemetry patients.
Key Responsibilities
โ€ข Provide clerical and administrative support to the nursing unit.
โ€ข Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms of patients on telemetry.
โ€ข Support nursing staff with timely communication and documentation.
โ€ข Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to hospital policies.
โ€ข Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education:
โ€ข Completion of an EKG/Dysrhythmia course or equivalent experience required.
Experience:
โ€ข Previous healthcare or monitoring experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
โ€ข Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification upon hire.
โ€ข ABM/MAB/CPI certification required within 60 days of hire and annually thereafter.
