Description:

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting Downtown Dallas Inc.'s marketing and communications initiatives through website management, content development, email marketing, marketing collateral, and project coordination. This position ensures DDI's websites, newsletters, and marketing materials are accurate, engaging, and up to date while maintaining brand consistency across all communications. The Marketing Coordinator collaborates with internal departments, vendors, and external partners to manage marketing projects, coordinate communications, and support organizational initiatives through tools such as Monday.com, AlertMedia, and LexisNexis.


Job Duties and Responsibilities


Website Management

  • Manage the day-to-day maintenance and optimization of DDI's websites.
  • Create, edit, and update website content, including copy, business listings, event information, photography, and other digital assets.
  • Conduct regular website audits to ensure content accuracy, functionality, and SEO optimization.
  • Coordinate website updates with internal departments, vendors, and leadership.
  • Monitor website performance using Google Analytics and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Develop, execute, and monitor Google Ads campaigns, including audience targeting, creative updates, and performance reporting.

Marketing Communications

  • Coordinate the creation and production of marketing collateral, promotional materials, presentations, and organizational communications.
  • Curate, write, edit, design, and distribute weekly e-newsletters and email communications.
  • Maintain email distribution lists and monitor email marketing performance.
  • Support the production of the Annual Report, special publications, and organizational reports.
  • Ensure all communications align with DDI's brand standards, messaging, and editorial guidelines.
  • Assist with copywriting, proofreading, and editing for internal and external communications.

Marketing Operations & Project Coordination

  • Manage marketing projects and workflows using Monday.com, ensuring timelines, approvals, and deliverables remain on schedule.
  • Coordinate projects with internal teams, vendors, agencies, and consultants.
  • Maintain project documentation and marketing calendars.
  • Support departmental planning and implementation of marketing initiatives.

Digital Communications & Information Management

  • Manage and distribute organizational alerts and emergency communications through AlertMedia.
  • Coordinate AlertMedia messaging for planned events, operational updates, and emergency notifications.
  • Utilize LexisNexis for media research, stakeholder information, and reporting.
  • Maintain digital asset libraries, marketing files, and organizational records.
  • Assist with implementing and improving marketing technology platforms and communication systems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of marketing, communications, or related professional experience.
  • Experience managing website content using a Content Management System (CMS).
  • Experience with email marketing platforms and newsletter management.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, and SEO best practices.
  • Experience using Monday.com or similar project management software preferred.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • Familiarity with Downtown Dallas and its stakeholders is preferred.
