Job Summary
Reports to Radiology Director
Works closely with Radiology staff, patients, medical staff, and families as well as other depts.
Responsibilities
• Operates Radiology equipment
• Able to use PACS
• Able to use hospital information system
• Demonstrates proper patient prep for procedures
• Explains procedure to patient
• Provides patient history and reason for exam
• Maintains CPR certification
• Responsible for patient safety
• Adheres to Joint Commission Safety Goals
• Operates power injector
• Follows Cat Scan protocols
• Knows and explains preps to patient for Cat Scan
• Operates CT equipment correctly
• Shows knowledge of pre and post contrast protocols
• Provides history of patient for Radiologist for CT
• Reviews questions or issues with radiologist when needed
• Responsible for having patient sign consent when contrast is needed
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Knowledge of current trends and technology in Radiology and CATSCAN
Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 lbs. of force constantly.
Education
• Post High School Diploma or Certificate Program (Required)
Credentials
• Amer Registry of Rad Techs (Required)
• Radiologic Technologist, Licen (Required)
Work Schedule: Nights
Status: 72 hrs per pay
