Operator 2, Warehouse Operations | Covington, Georgia, United States Operator 2, Warehouse Operations - Covington, GA (Contractor, Overnight Shift) [About the Role] Join a vital warehouse team in Covington, GA, as an Operator 2, Warehouse Operations. You will drive operational excellence by safely moving materials, parts, and finished goods using forklifts and other industrial equipment. This overnight contractor position offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment, providing growth potential for motivated individuals eager to expand their logistics and material handling skills. [Responsibilities] - Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to transport goods throughout the warehouse - Load, unload, move, and store products with strict adherence to safety and SOP guidelines - Accurately maintain records and documentation related to inventory movement - Conduct routine equipment inspections to ensure operational safety - Support warehouse organization, cleaning, and inventory control functions - Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals - Uphold quality standards in all warehouse functions [Required Skills and Experience] - Minimum 1 year warehouse or related experience - Forklift operation experience (DT required) - Ability to operate conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks - Basic English reading, writing, and math skills - Comfortable lifting/moving items over 50 lbs and working in varying temperature environments - General computer literacy - Willingness to work overnight (Mon-Thurs, 8pm-6:30am) [Preferred Skills] - High school diploma/GED - Additional certifications in material handling or logistics [Benefits] - Competitive pay: $19/hr - Opportunity to gain advanced warehouse and logistics skills - Exposure to a high-volume, team-oriented environment - Develop proficiency in safety procedures and inventory management - Reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities [How to Apply] Ready to take your warehouse career to the next level?
