Overview:
Job Title : Modernization Project Manager (699600)
Remote

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Under general supervision, manages and/or coordinates all tasks for medium and large-sized cloud environment project(s) of moderate to high complexity and risk.
• Works with PMO, security, architectural and quality assurance teams to ensure that the established system standards, procedures, and quality objectives are achieved
• Drives project kick-off activities; internal meetings, statement of work creation, project plan documentation for top-tier, high profile customers.
• Prepares and manages schedules, risks, issues, and interdependencies with understanding of on premise and cloud technologies.
• Develops time and cost estimates, project plans/schedules, and budgets.
• During execution, monitors performance and reports to management project status and pertinent issues, including major milestones and potential project risks.
• Provides continuing direction to the project team, conducts status meetings, assesses proposed changes in scope, and recommends courses of action to project sponsors during the execution phase.
• Oversees and controls ongoing costs, schedules, resources, scope, and risks.
• Assesses project variances, gathers metrics, and develops and implements changes as necessary to ensure that the project remains within specified scope and is within time, cost, and quality objectives
• Briefs and presents project status to Agency and State level executives
• Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with project sponsors, vendors, and key clients
• Near the end of the project, uses the product verification process to make sure that the project has delivered what the client expected and performs a lesson learned for all projects.
Minimum Qualifications
• Technical experience with premise to cloud system migrations
• Knowledge of application maintenance and support of cloud environments
• PMP certification from PMI or equivalent Project Management certification
• Bachelor's degree in related field
• 3 years' experience leading server-based application and software development/enhancement projects of moderate to high complexity
• Led/coordinated projects on a multi-vendor environment within the last 5 years
• Executive level written and oral communication skills
• Expert level skills in the use of MS 0365 Suite (MS Project, MS Visio, MS Teams)
Qualifications
• Managed two or more "private Data Center to AWS Cloud" system migrations
• Knowledge of government procurement and administrative procedures
• Master's degree and/or specialized training in related field
• Experience with public sector Health and Human Services Technology
• Understanding of outsourced Government Enterprise operations
