Field Superintendent - Modernization
Your main responsibilities
Your main responsibilities

The Candidate will be required to manage field technicians in the day to day operations of the installation of hydraulic, gearless and geared elevator modernizations. Actively participate in field surveys for prospective modernization projects and be involved in the preparation modernization proposals and bids. Must be able to determine the scope of work required and manpower needed to complete the project in a timely and profitable manner. Must have knowledge elevator equipment/parts and the ability to determine the correct part required for all aspects of a project and will be required to order these parts.

Additional responsibilities include: 
   Build a team environment by leading field technicians
   Manage training and development of field technicians on established processes, tools and standards
   Foster excellent communication among team members while maintaining good working relationships with the local union
   Assure that each modernization project meets Company quality and safety standards, as well as all contract requirements.
   Monitor job completion and drive efficiency
   Implement customer and Company requirements for quality, performance reliability and passenger safety for modernization projects
   Support the local sales team in estimating modernization bids and investigating and resolving customer complaints
   Develop a spirit of teamwork and dedication to quality among all employees
   Participate in Company professional development programs to enhance working knowledge of Elevator Company products, services and procedures 

 
What you bring

   Bachelor's degree preferred OR 3 years of technical experience in the elevator industry or related field. 
    Experience in installation and service of elevators/escalators preferred.
   Prior supervisory experience with a unionized workforce is preferred.
   Computer proficiency required. Experience in Microsoft Office suite software, Lotus Notes and SAP is preferred.
   Must have ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
