Duties and Accountabilities:

  Support IFC's investment decision making process by providing technical and techno-commercial expertise to undertake the appraisal of gas and LNG investment transactions. Such appraisals can include site visits, hiring and supervision of external consultants such as lender's engineers, review of major contracts, assessing / proposing key technical inputs for incorporation in financial models, and preparing reports summarizing and assessing technical risk.
  Collaborate with WBG internal teams, including investment officers, task team leaders, environmental and social specialists, and legal counsel, to deliver high-quality reviews, appraisals and recommendations for potential WBG projects.
  Support portfolio management by monitoring all technical aspects of portfolio gas & LNG investments throughout construction and on into operation. This includes review of periodic construction or operations reports, periodic field inspections or other measures as necessary to address or resolve specific problems or issues. 
  Conduct market analysis and provide thought leadership on emerging trends, technologies, and policies in the gas and LNG industries, contributing to knowledge-sharing initiatives within WBG and externally.
  Contribute to the development and execution of WBG's sector strategies, including the integration of gas and LNG solutions into broader energy transition and climate resilience frameworks.
  Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including private sector clients, government agencies, and development partners, to promote IFC's role in the global gas and LNG sectors.
