Martin Concrete Construction is seeking an experienced and results-driven Field Operations Manager to oversee field operations across multiple projects. In this role, you won't just manage schedules and manpower-you'll play a critical role in ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and operational excellence while helping build some of the most challenging and rewarding concrete construction projects in the industry.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and manage field operations with responsibility for safety, production, quality, manpower, and project execution across multiple jobsites.
  • Partner with Superintendents, Project Managers, and Operations leadership to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Monitor labor productivity, job costs, equipment utilization, and material management to drive project success.
  • Coordinate manpower needs across projects and allocate resources where needed to support operational goals.
  • Work closely with the Safety Director and field leadership team to reinforce Martin Concrete's safety culture and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Conduct regular project site visits, safety observations, and operational reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with General Contractors, clients, vendors, and project stakeholders.
  • Support preconstruction planning, pre-pour meetings, project kickoff meetings, and ongoing operational reviews.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Superintendents while helping develop future leaders within the organization.
  • Serve as the primary problem solver and escalation point for field issues that impact project performance.

Location & Travel Requirements
This position requires frequent travel to active project sites. Candidates should be comfortable spending significant time in the field and traveling as needed to support operations, project teams, and client relationships.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial, industrial, tilt-up, multi-story, or concrete construction projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of concrete construction means, methods, sequencing, and field operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects, field teams, and operational priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, employees, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive safety, quality, schedule, and budget performance.

Preferred Experience
  • OSHA Certification.
  • ACI or TCA Certification.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Experience leading large concrete construction operations across multiple projects.
