As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol Agent in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading educational location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This unarmed patrol role offers the chance to support students, staff, and visitors while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and guided by integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, students, faculty, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior galleries, classrooms, common areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and designated areas to help support authorized access, provide directions, and report policy violations, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Assist with observing the protection of artwork, exhibits, and other property by reporting hazards, assisting with crowd management during events or busy periods, and following post orders for the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
