Job Summary
A mobile grooming dispatcher is responsible for selling mobile grooming services by highlighting convenience, one-on-one services, cage-free environments, and easy booking. They will coordinate and manage the scheduling of appointments for mobile pet groomers, handle customer communication, optimize travel routes, and ensure the smooth operation of daily tasks. This role involves assigning groomers to customer locations based on availability and proximity, maintaining accurate records, and resolving any scheduling issues that arise.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Service & Booking: Answer calls/texts, guide customers on services, and book appointments with a warm, professional tone.
  • Consultative Selling: Recommend the right service package and set clear time/price expectations.
  • Schedule Management: Use our scheduling platform (Vonigo) to place jobs by zip/territory, availability, and service duration.
  • Route Optimization: Build efficient daily routes to minimize drive time and maximize productivity.
  • Groomer Comms: Share day-of details, notes, and special requests with groomers; send updates as plans change.
  • Proactive Confirmations: Confirm appointments, Pet Release completion, and pre-arrival details; backfill cancellations quickly.
  • Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate customer, pet, and service history notes.
  • Issue Resolution: Triage delays, conflicts, and customer concerns with empathy and urgency; escalate when needed.
Qualifications
  • Must live in the Reno, Nevada or surrounding areas.
  • Available to meet in-person for monthly team meetings.
  • Outstanding phone, text, and writing skills; friendly, patient, and solution-oriented.
  • Strong organization and time management; you love checklists and clean calendars.
  • Comfortable with light sales/up-selling and setting expectations.
  • Tech-savvy with scheduling/CRM tools (experience with Vonigo or similar a plus).
  • Knowledge of pet grooming is helpful, but not required.
