Job description

Summary: This role supports quality patient care by efficiently utilizing resources and maintaining systems that empower staff to deliver excellent care. The position involves flexible day shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily patient assignments and conduct rounds with physicians.
  • Serve as a primary contact for physicians and administrators.
  • Provide support and guidance to nursing staff, nursing assistants, monitoring technicians, and unit secretaries.
  • Assist with procedures, verify orders, and perform daily quality control and equipment checks.
  • Evaluate patient acuity and assist in staff performance evaluations.
  • Contribute to monthly staff scheduling and clinical education in the absence of the Clinical Educator/Preceptor.
  • Engage with patients and families regularly and coordinate with care coordinators and discharge planners.
  • Collaborate with patient placement and nursing supervisors.
  • Implement hospital innovation projects and monitor staff performance related to patient satisfaction metrics.
  • Maintain effective communication through mobile devices and perform other duties as assigned.

Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience.
Requirements: Current Registered Nurse licensure in the relevant state. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Effective organizational, teaching, and leadership abilities. Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, lifting, and potential exposure to infectious materials.
