What You'll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent experience .
- 5+ years of demonstrated, effective leadership and training experience .
- 2+ years of experience bidding commercial construction jobs .
- Valid Class A CDL driver's license with an acceptable driving record .
- Proven experience managing multi-jurisdictional permitting and municipal agency coordination (city, county, MnDOT) in a metro or urban utility environment .
- Strong project planning and management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and crews in various stages of completion .
- Demonstrated experience assessing, planning for, and mitigating risks unique to urban and high-traffic job sites to maintain crew safety .
- Working knowledge of metro/urban right-of-way (ROW) permitting processes, temporary traffic control plans (TTCP), and local municipal utility codes .
- In-depth knowledge of all aspects and regulations of telecom construction .
- Solid understanding of coaching, mentoring, team-building, and customer care principles .
- Intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office/G Suite (Excel, Word), with the ability to learn internal applications .
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with all levels of the organization and external customers .
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization abilities, with a calm, proactive approach under stress .
Bonus Points If You Have
- Two-year degree in construction, construction management, or equivalent experience .
- 5+ years of experience managing underground utility or telecom construction projects within the Twin Cities metro area or a comparable major metropolitan market .
- OSHA 30 Certification .
- MnDOT / Work Zone Traffic Control (WZTC) Certification
