Join Our Team as a Legal Operations Contract Manager at Epiroc!
The Legal Operations Contracts Manager will support the Legal Department of a leading global mining and construction equipment company by managing and enabling the end-to-end pre-signature contracting process across a diverse portfolio of commercial agreements. The role supports both sell-side and buy-side contracting in a complex, asset-heavy, and highly international operating environment.
The Contract Manager operates at the intersection of Legal, Sales, Procurement, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Service teams internationally, helping stakeholders navigate contracting requirements, apply approved templates and playbooks, and move agreements efficiently through Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) workflows. The role emphasizes process discipline, risk consistency, and cultural fluency across jurisdictions.
In addition to contracting responsibilities, the role is a force multiplier, enhancing the efficiency, transparency, and strategic value of Legal Operations by improving systems, reporting, and workflows and supporting digital transformation initiatives.
This role does not manage post-execution commercial performance, supplier delivery, or operational KPIs.
Work Type: Hybrid
  • This role can either be based in Broomfield, CO (Denver area) or Garland, TX (Dallas, TX)
  • 10% travelling requirement to other locations

Responsibilities:
1. Global Contract Intake, Workflow & Stakeholder Enablement
  • Manage pre-signature workflow from intake originating across multiple regions, functions, and time zones
  • Participate in evaluation, implementation, change management, and use of CLM tools, ensuring clear visibility into status, approvals, and next actions
  • Coordinate effectively with Legal counsel and business stakeholders located across regions, balancing responsiveness with legal risk standards
  • Maintain organized contract records, version control, and audit-ready documentation throughout the review and negotiation process

2. Contract Review & Negotiation Support (Pre-Signature)
  • Draft, review, and redline contracts using approved templates, clause libraries, and standard fallback positions
  • Coordinate negotiation input across Legal, Finance, Tax, Compliance, Trade Compliance, Privacy, IT Security, and Engineering stakeholders
  • Identify deviations from standard terms and escalate per defined playbooks and approval matrices
  • Support execution logistics, including signature routing and confirmation of fully executed agreements across jurisdictions

3. Mining & Construction-Specific Contract Types
The role supports a true blend of sell-side and buy-side agreements common to global mining and construction operations, including:
Sell-Side / Revenue Contracts
  • Master sales and supply agreements for mining and construction equipment
  • Long-term equipment supply agreements
  • Distributor, dealer, and channel partner agreements
  • Service, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) agreements
  • Field service, commissioning, and installation agreements
  • Parts, consumables, and aftermarket supply agreements
  • Digital, automation, and connected-equipment software or SaaS addenda

Buy-Side / Procurement & Operations Contracts
  • Supplier and vendor master agreements
  • Direct materials and component supply agreements
  • Engineering, fabrication, and tooling agreements
  • Capital equipment purchase agreements
  • EPC-related scopes and Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Logistics, freight forwarding, warehousing, and customs brokerage agreements
  • Professional services and consulting agreements

Foundational / Cross-Functional Agreements
  • Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)
  • Technology licensing agreements
  • Data processing and information security agreements
  • Amendments, renewals, and change orders

4. Templates, Playbooks & Knowledge Management
  • Maintain and continuously improve contract templates and clause libraries to support consistent risk management globally
  • Develop, update, and operationalize contracting and negotiation playbooks reflecting standard positions, regional variations, and escalation rules
  • Ensure playbooks are written for practical use by non-lawyers in Sales, Procurement, and Operations
  • Maintain the Legal contracting SharePoint site or knowledge hub as a global self-service resource for templates, guidance, FAQs, and intake instructions

5. CLM Administration
  • Support day-to-day administration of CLM workflows, including metadata accuracy, approval routing, and repository hygiene
  • Assist with reporting on contract volumes, turnaround times, and process adherence across regions
  • Partner with Legal Operations and IT to enhance contracting workflows and user experience
  • Participate in CLM selection, upgrades, implementation phases, or global rollouts

6. Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
  • Identify, design, and implement process improvements across contracting workflows, including intake, triage, review, negotiation, execution, and repository management
  • Drive global standardization of intake, review, and execution processes.
  • Support change management initiatives to improve adoption of contracting processes, templates, and tools across Legal and business teams
  • Partner cross-functionally to eliminate contracting inefficiencies.

7. Data, Reporting & Analytics
  • Develop and maintain dashboards tracking key contracting KPIs including cycle time, volume by region and contract type, escalation rates, and template usage
  • Generate and analyze reports on contracting activity
  • Improve data integrity within CLM systems, including metadata completeness, classification accuracy, and audit trail quality
  • Translate contracting metrics into actionable operational insights for leadership decision-making and resource planning

8. Global Collaboration, Training & AI Enablement
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across cultures, jurisdictions, and legal systems, demonstrating strong cultural awareness and adaptability
  • Develop and deliver training to global business teams on contracting processes, templates, intake quality, and Legal expectations
  • Support responsible adoption of AI-enabled legal tools for contract drafting, review, and clause analysis under Legal guidance
  • Help document global best practices and guardrails for legal technology and AI usage

Qualifications & Experience
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-6 years of experience in contract management, contract administration, legal operations, or commercial contracting
  • Experience using SharePoint, Power BI, and Power forms
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce, CLM platforms and clause/template governance
  • Experience supporting contracts in a global or multinational organization
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple agreements concurrently across time zones
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with both Legal and non-Legal stakeholders

Preferred
Legal Operations & Technology:
  • Experience with legal operations frameworks (e.g., CLOC, Legalops.com, ACC Legalops Core Competencies).
  • Experience with analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI.
  • Familiarity with workflow automation tools.

Industry & Subject Matter:
  • Experience in global or industrial environments.
  • Experience in mining, construction, industrial manufacturing, heavy equipment, or infrastructure environments
  • Familiarity with international contracting issues (e.g., governing law selection, local law considerations, cross-border negotiation dynamics)

Language:
  • Fluency in English
  • Spanish language proficiency preferred
