Long-Term Temporary Legal Assistant [7730]

DC-based association seeks a long-term temporary Legal Assistant to provide administrative support to attorneys for approximately 10 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
  • Track deadlines to ensure legal documents are filed in a timely manner.
  • Draft, edit, and format file pleadings, motions, settlements, and letters of intent.
  • Perform legal and factual background research.
  • Provide administrative support by managing calendars and scheduling appointments.
  • Create and maintain case files and produce transcripts.

Qualifications:
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to execute tasks with changing priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail.
  • Experience interacting with clients via phone and email.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a legal support position.

Rate: $20 per hour.
