At AGRA Industries, we are committed to fostering an innovative, challenging, and safe work environment. We are currently seeking a Millwright Foreman to join our growing team. This position involves traveling to customer job sites throughout the United Statesโ€”primarily across the Midwestโ€”to perform maintenance and support on customer equipment.


SUMMARY

Leads and mentors a crew of millwrights on shift to see that jobsite safety, workmanship quality, and organizational goals and programs are adhered to in the timely completion of projects. Installs machinery and equipment in industrial establishment by performing the following duties:


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. This list of duties and responsibilities is representative and not exhaustive. The essential functions will include other duties and responsibilities.

  • Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Dismantles machines.
  • Moves machinery and equipment.
  • Assembles and installs equipment such as conveyors, dryers and burners.
  • Welds structural steel and machine components.
  • Installs compressed air piping, elevator leg spouting and dust systems.
  • Constructs foundation for machines.
  • Aligns machines and equipment.
  • Assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures.
  • Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment.
  • Erects buildings.
  • Alert the foreman or superintendent to any deficiencies in workmanship, safety, quality, or compliance in order to curtail damages to workers, the organization, the project, the customer, or the public.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and directly supervise millwrights assigned to project site as directed by the foreman or superintendent.


Qualifications:

  • Experience in GMAW or FCAW welding processes.
  • Has working knowledge of blueprints.
  • Can work independently.
  • Experience with Conveyor systems, bearings, and general equipment desired.
  • Ability to develop, layout, and plan sequence of operations.
  • Knowledge of weld defects and discontinuities.
