Assistant Superintendent (Architectural)

We are looking for an Assistant Superintendent to help oversee daily construction activities on-site, with a focus on architectural and civil work. This role involves coordinating subcontractors, monitoring progress, maintaining quality and safety standards, and supporting the successful completion of the project.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily construction activities related to roofing and architectural finishes.
  • Track project progress and provide updates to the Superintendent and Project Manager.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) teams to resolve field issues and avoid work conflicts.
  • Assist with daily planning and short-term scheduling to keep the project on track.
  • Attend subcontractor coordination meetings and follow up on assigned tasks.
  • Prepare and maintain field documentation, including:
    • Daily reports
    • Site photos
    • Manpower tracking
    • Field issue logs
    • Requests for Information (RFIs)
    • Submittals
    • Material tracking and follow-up
  • Inspect work to ensure it meets project drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Work closely with the site safety team to help maintain a safe work environment and ensure safety requirements are followed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in civil or architectural construction field work.
  • Experience supervising or coordinating construction activities on-site.
  • Ability to work well in a team and coordinate with multiple trades and subcontractors.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
