This role offers meaningful project work, growth opportunities, and a strong benefits package, including paid medical and dental coverage.ย ย The Electrical Estimator reports directly to the Senior Project Manager or Project Manager.ย  Responsibilities are focused on cost estimates,ย material,ย and labor requirements estimates to complete a project.ย ย ย ย 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop cost estimates from the takeoff stage to bid handoffย ย 
  • Work with ConEst Estimating Softwareย 
  • Develop cost estimates for change ordersย 
  • Analyze material and labor requirements to complete a projectย ย 
  • Attend prebid and scope review meetingsย ย ย 
  • Compute andย submitย bidsย 
  • Read & thoroughly understand blueprintsย 
  • Perform fully on-screen electronic takeoffs and markupsย 
  • Meet with engineers, customers, vendors, and Project Managersย ย 
  • Visually inspect project locations toย determineย the amount of labor and materialsย needed toย do the workย 
  • Contact vendors for pricingย ย ย 
  • Assess the costs of leasing equipment.ย ย ย 
  • Maintain theย changeย order submissions/documents in an organized and standardized manner. Work with the project team to develop this standard.ย 
  • Analyze material and labor requirements to complete a projectย 
  • Attend pre-bid and scope review meetingsย 
Qualifications

REQUIRED:ย 

  • 6-8 years of experience with a High School Diploma, 4-6 years of experience with anย Associateย degree, or 0-2 years of experience with aย Bachelor'sย degreeย 
  • Strong computer, Bluebeam, ConEst, and Microsoft Suite skillsย 
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Low Voltage Systems.ย ย 
  • Read and evaluate specifications and blueprints.ย 
  • Deal effectively with customers.ย ย ย 
  • Analyze risks involved with certain project types.ย ย ย 
  • Estimate large and small projects.ย ย ย 
  • Work calmly under deadlines and external pressure.ย ย ย 
  • Excellent math skills.ย ย ย 
  • Strong communicationย skills.ย ย 
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.ย
