Primary Location: United States (US) - Iowa  - Dubuque   

As a Production Assembler with John Deere Dubuque Works, you will perform a variety of assembly operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork, while supporting the production of world-class equipment.

Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following:

  • Assemble parts or components to specification.
  • Read and comprehend work instructions and follow established procedures.
  • Utilize manufacturing tools to record data and keep records for quality and maintenance.
  • Check results for conformance to specifications and make necessary corrections.
  • Operate power driven equipment such as forklifts and industrial trucks to move material, parts, and equipment.
  • Use various types of tools and equipment to perform work - including but not limited to hand and power tools, testing and runoff equipment, ladders, hoists, fixtures, jigs, and gages.
  • Lubricate, check, and clean work equipment and tooling.
  • Assist and support other team members.
  • Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have at least one of the following:
    • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
    • National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)
    • At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience
  • Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift – with or without reasonable accommodation; including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing of repetitive actions.
  • Ability and willingness to work any shift and potential overtime (including weekends).

Preferred Qualifications (What Makes You Stand Out): 

  • At least 1 year of assembly experience in a manufacturing or production environment; including:
    • Experience using a variety of hand tools and power tools
  • At least 1 year of experience assembling vehicle or heavy equipment components
  • Previous experience operating a forklift or other powered industrial equipment
