Job description

JOB.TITLE, OU.LOCATION, CUSTOM.STATE

Interfor is seeking a skilled, safety-minded, and motivated JOB.TITLE to join our team in OU.LOCATION, CUSTOM.STATE. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical systems and components throughout the mill to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production operations. 

Pay range:  29.35 per hour to 40.92 per hour based on skill level and experience.

Gainshare Bonus: Quarterly performance-based bonus.

What You'll Do

  • Perform electrical repair and improvement projects throughout the entire mill site.
  • Read, write, and understand electrical schematics, equipment drawings, and blueprints.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance duties.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain and repair all Programmable Logic Controller (P.L.C.) controls, A.C inverters, or any other control systems throughout the mill site.
  • Adhere to an absolute lock-out policy, ensuring that the power source is turned off, machine locked out, and tested to ensure isolation.
  • Effectively manage and plan work to accomplish job tasks with minimal direct supervision.
  • Submit work requests.
  • Fill out completed work orders listing work done, parts used, and time taken to complete the job.
  • Perform any other duties in any area requested by Supervisor.
  • Physical Requirements: Walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work safely from elevated platforms and heights.
  • Skilled in training others and supporting preventive maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Willingness to learn to operate mill equipment to perform test runs following repairs.
  • Flexibility with schedules, including weekends, holidays, and call-ins as needed.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
