Information on the division:

Located in Kitchener the 100+ employee facility (99,000 sq. ft.) is Héroux-Devtek’s center of excellence for the machining of medium- to large-size landing gear components.

As part of the Central Division you will lead P&L responsible for critical machining operations of major commercial aircraft programs such as the Boeing 777 and Embraer E-2, business jets like the Dassault Falcon and important military programs as KC-135, MQ-25 and CH-47 Chinook.

Main responsibilities

  • Hone inside diameter of various length and size using abrasive stones to achieve finish and tight tolerances
  • Use of measuring tools such as Bore gauges, micromotor, Height Master in imperial on every part.
  • Determine which tool is right for the job based on the part condition and drawing.
  • 5-S Activities
  • Pre-start up inspections which incorporate Health & Safety awareness
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Adhering at all times to all company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements
  • Ability to take direction from and interact with co-workers in a productive and positive manner.
  • The ability to wear the required PPE.
  • Candidates must meet security screening requirements as set out by ITAR/CGP directives.
