Logistics Coordinator
Contract-to-Hire Opportunity
Near New Castle, PA
Pay Rate: Up to $24.00/hour
LHH is partnering with a growing company near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to hire a Logistics Coordinator on a contract-to-hire basis. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with transportation industry experience and a strong understanding of DOT regulations and Hazmat shipping requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery
  • Communicate with carriers, vendors, and customers regarding shipment status and transportation needs
  • Track shipments and resolve transportation issues in a timely manner
  • Prepare and maintain shipping, receiving, Hazmat, and transportation documentation
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and hazardous materials shipping requirements
  • Monitor inventory movement and assist with supply chain coordination
  • Update shipment information in company systems and maintain accurate records
  • Research and resolve delivery discrepancies and customer concerns
  • Support the logistics and operations team with additional administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
  • Required: Transportation and logistics experience
  • Required: Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat shipping requirements
  • Experience coordinating freight shipments and working with carriers
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
