Hall Toyota in Virginia Beach is looking for a reliable, full-time driver to join our Parts team. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8AM-5PM. This position pays $16/hour.

Summary: The Parts Driver will be responsible for transporting automotive parts to different locations using a company vehicle while obeying all federal and state traffic laws and safe daily practices. This individual will communicate at a high level to both internal and external customers to drive a high level of customer service.

Essential Duties:

  • Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors
  • Verifies that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up and checks for payments
  • Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries, pick-ups, payments and COD's
  • Advises Parts Manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance
  • Assists service department as needed with attendant responsibilities of managing the drop-off and pick-up of customers' cars

Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's License, with 2 or fewer moving violations in last 3 years
  • Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Self-Starter with proven ability to seek out new ways to build opportunities for the dealership and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
  • Basic MS Office knowledge; computer software, internet proficiency and general mathematics skills
