Job description

Minimum Requirements: 
Current GCSD Certified Teacher
Effective or Highly Effective as determined by the Annual Professional Performance Review, Tenure status preferred
Is able to communicate well in written and oral format
Shows evidence of leadership skill and ability
Shows attention to detail
Position Summary/Responsibilities: 
Responsibilities may vary for each Middle School. Below are examples of the work being done. A building administrator may have other responsibilities (not listed below) and will share that information with staff members.
Assist in the development and implementation of team/student goals and plans which are aligned with the District Strategic Plan. Team and student goals need to be monitored and evaluated through the use of student data at team meetings, IST meetings, CSE meetings, 504 meetings.
Assist in the facilitation and implementation of effective student management plans with parents and administrators.
Serve as a liaison between building level administration, staff, parents and students.
Coordinate the implementation of district level exams and NYS assessments.
Facilitate team and student schedules. Facilitate five week progress reports and quarterly AIS and report cards; produce quarterly written reports, charts, and graphs to building principal.
Disseminate necessary information from building, district and state.
Provide meeting agenda and minutes to administration in a timely manner.
Produce quarterly reports, charts and graphs for administrator.
Meet with administrative staff on an as-needed basis.
Participate in Team Leader meetings as scheduled.
Facilitate PBIS implementation if appropriate;
Possible participation in the Summer Leadership Academy and summer planning meetings.
