Job description

Description: Lead Assistant Principal for Elementary - INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY
The Lead Assistant Principal supports school and District leaders in enhancing their professional practice and improving
student achievement.
Hours: Work to be completed PRIMARILY outside of contractual hours.
Position Reports To: Director of School Improvement
Salary/Pay Scale: Stipend $2,500/yr
Requirements:






  • Must hold valid NYS Administrator Certification
  • At least three years of experience as an Assistant Principal
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience leading professional development with other educators
  • Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and time management

Desirable:

  • A working knowledge of continuous school improvement
  • A proactive team player and problem solver
  • Able to maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations
  • Ability to effectively use technology
  • A forward thinker, eager to bring new ideas forward to improve the system
  • A solid understanding of research of culturally responsive education, including a working knowledge of the NYS Culturally Responsive Sustaining Framework
  • Evidence of understanding of the REACH 2027 Strategic Plan and Continuous School Improvement
