Job description

Mid-Level Disability Management Specialist

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Disability Management Specialist to join the team in Mesa, AZ.

We are seeking a proactive, self-starting professional who will play a critical role in assisting employees and managers through the interactive dialogue process and all facets of reasonable accommodations. This position requires strong collaboration with Legal, Medical, and Disability Management Resources (DMRs) to ensure timely, compliant, and effective accommodations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent computer literacy, exceptional communication skills, and the capability to manage complex processes with confidentiality and integrity, helping us build a workplace where everyone can thrive.

Position Responsibilities:

Accommodation Services Representatives duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Administer, coordinate and document the activities required for employees and applicants requesting reasonable accommodation due to a medical need

  • Facilitate the interactive process with managers and employees to address individual needs, workplace accommodations, and compliance requirements

  • Engage appropriate resources to identify individualized workplace accommodation solutions

  • Engage appropriate resources to aid in the acquisition and implementation of accommodation solutions

  • Adhere to multiple Boeing policies and processes that define requirements for procurement of assistive devices, software, and hardware

  • Consult, coordinate, and partner with Health Services, Human Resource (HR), Safety, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, team members and other departments/systems as appropriate

  • Administer the reassignment process for employees who are unable to perform essential job functions

  • Oversee and provide case management for complex accommodation cases and provide risk-mitigating solutions, advice, and guidance in compliance with company policies, processes, state and federal regulations

  • Maintain system records to ensure accurate and timely information/documentation

  • Serve as internal consultant on complex matters related to all aspects of the reasonable accommodation process

  • Support and participate in the Enterprise Reasonable Accommodation Focal network meetings and provide guidance to Enterprise Reasonable Accommodation Focals

  • Respond to inquiries via the Accommodation Services customer service line

  • Provide consultative services, education, training and technical assistance to employees, management, HR, Boeing Health Services, Reasonable Accommodation Focals and other resources regarding company policies, processes, and state and federal regulations pertaining to the area of reasonable accommodation

  • Support Global Talent organization in the development of training, tools, and procedures, and evaluation of the health of the reasonable accommodation process

  • Maintain and protect medical confidentiality

  • Provide all services in compliance with US Federal, state, and all other applicable accommodation regulations (e.g. Americans with Disabilities Act, Washington State Pregnancy Law, etc.)

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resource

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience in the administration of ADA reasonable accommodation process, including primary responsibility for interactive discussion, evaluation and identification of workplace solutions, implementation and monitoring of workplace solutions

  • 1+ years of experience providing advice, counsel, and training on reasonable accommodation

Summary pay range: $85,850 - $116,150
