Role Overview
The Sr Procurement Analyst supports the end-to-end sourcing and purchasing operations for PureCycle Technologies, executing the full procurement lifecycle from supplier identification and RFx management through contract administration, purchase order processing, and performance monitoring. This role applies data analytics, workflow automation, and AI-enabled tools to drive operational efficiency, cost reduction, and supply chain resilience across PureCycle's growing technology and manufacturing operations.
What You'll Be Doing
• Execute the full RFx lifecycle (RFI, RFQ, RFP) for assigned spend categories, including vendor solicitation, competitive bid evaluation, proposal analysis, and award recommendation documentation.
• Research, identify, and qualify new suppliers through structured screening processes, including NDA execution, financial and risk assessment, documentation collection, and ERP system onboarding.
• Negotiate commercial terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers; execute and administer supplier contracts and purchase agreements in alignment with company standards and legal requirements.
• Manage purchase orders from creation through closure, including approval routing, change order processing, three-way match verification, invoice review, and systematic PO reconciliation.
• Expedite materials, consumables, services, and equipment orders; develop and maintain real-time expediting status reports to ensure stakeholders have accurate delivery timeline visibility.
• Conduct spend analysis, cost benchmarking, and savings tracking across assigned categories; recommend and implement cost reduction strategies while maintaining quality standards and supplier relationships.
• Leverage AI tools and automation platforms (including Microsoft Power Automate and Power Query) to eliminate manual procurement tasks, reduce processing cycle times.
• Build and maintain procurement analytics models and dashboards in Microsoft Excel and Power BI to provide spend visibility, category performance reporting, and data-driven executive decision support.
• Apply predictive analytics and spend pattern analysis to proactively identify cost reduction opportunities, supply risk signals, and demand forecast variances before they escalate to operational disruptions.
• Conduct data-driven market research using digital intelligence tools and structured sourcing frameworks to benchmark supplier pricing, assess market conditions, and inform category strategies.
• Maintain supplier relationship management (SRM) programs, including performance scorecarding, KPI monitoring, and facilitation of periodic supplier business reviews.
• Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks through proactive monitoring, supplier diversification planning, and contingency development; maintain ongoing awareness of industry best practices.
• Optimize procurement data collection and metric reporting processes; develop and maintain workflow automations to continuously improve data accuracy, process efficiency, and reporting cycle times.
• Manage and participate in inventory control processes, ensuring adequate stock levels for critical materials while minimizing carrying costs and obsolescence risk.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, internal controls, and regulatory compliance requirements; support internal audit requests and compliance documentation across all procurement activities.
• Assist in developing and implementing procurement policies, procedures, and training materials (including SOPs, process documentation, and workflow diagrams) to support organizational capability building.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Engineering, and Legal on sourcing initiatives, budget alignment, contract review, compliance requirements, and cross-departmental procurement support.
• Utilize procurement environment (including NetSuite and Smartsheet) alongside the full Microsoft 365 suite to maintain procurement data integrity, automate reporting, and drive continuous process improvement.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain operations, or a closely related analytical function.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Index/Match, PivotTables, data modeling, and formula-based automation.
• Demonstrated experience executing RFx processes (RFI, RFQ, RFP) and managing competitive supplier evaluation and selection.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (NetSuite or equivalent) for purchase order creation, supplier data management, and transaction processing.
• Proficiency in data visualization and business intelligence tools; Power BI experience required.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with demonstrated ability to manage high volumes of transactional data and derive actionable insights.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships and present procurement data to leadership.
• Experience with Power Automate or Power Query for procurement workflow automation and data pipeline development.
• Background in logistics coordination, including 4PL/3PL operations and domestic or international trade compliance.
• Exposure to contract administration, supplier compliance monitoring, or procurement policy governance in a regulated industry.
