Responsibilities:

The Microsoft Developer will support Barrow Wise's Illinois State Retirement System project and perform the following duties:

  • Migrate the legacy mainframe platform to a modernized Microsoft Platform
  • Utilize Docuware to perform document integration with the imaging system from SRS Central and support the Reporting Database
  • Support existing pension system modules
  • Sync data from the legacy system to the new system
  • Design, develop, unit test, debug, integration test, and implement C# applications
  • Configure SQL Server, including stored procedures and general RDBMS concepts
  • Utilize Component One UI software
  • Perform peer code reviews
  • Display knowledge of object-oriented design and architecture
  • Utilize Visual Studio, Azure Dev Ops, and Entity Framework
  • Utilize Agile software development methodology
  • Experience Developing and Implementing Pension Systems
  • Work remotely

An ideal candidate has the following:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Five years of experience in Microsoft development for a Retirement/Pension System
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with users to fully understand user needs to deliver a complete solution
  • Demonstrated experience with GIT
  • Demonstrated experience with Web APIs
