Physical Therapist
Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist will work as a member of the healthcare team at Metropolitan Health Group to evaluate and treat patients with musculoskeletal, and neurological conditions. This position requires a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology, as well as experience with a variety of therapeutic interventions and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial evaluations and ongoing assessments of patients to determine appropriate treatment plans and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs, goals, and functional abilities.
  • Use a variety of therapeutic interventions and equipment to help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and range of motion.
  • Instruct patients and their families on exercise programs, home exercise programs, and self-care techniques to optimize recovery and prevent re-injury.
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to coordinate care and ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain and improve clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards of practice.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state license to practice Physical Therapy.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology, as well as a variety of therapeutic interventions and equipment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a healthcare environment.
