Hope Methodist Church (Hope, AR)- Pastor
The Big Picture
Hope Methodist Church (https://www.hope-methodist.com) is seeking a full-time Pastor. We are a congregation of +/- 150 members with a median age of 55-60 years old. Our Methodist roots go back to 1874. More recently, we disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church in 2023 to become an independent Methodist congregation.
Requirements
The Church
Hope Methodist Church is described as a Methodist congregation with traditional Methodist values, beliefs, and practices. We uphold the authority of scripture and seek to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. The weekly Sunday morning worship service generally follows the Revised Common Lectionary in a liturgical format with traditional prayers, hymns, eucharist, and sermon. We have a strong Sunday school program for children, youth and adults. Our outreach serves the needs of individuals, schools, and agencies throughout the community.
The Candidate
As Pastor, we seek a seminary graduate from a Methodist or theologically conservative seminary, one who is ordained by a governing body and has ten years' experience, preferably as senior pastor.

The Compensation
The position offers a modern four-bedroom parsonage and a salary range of $65,000-$75,000.
