Job description

Description

We are currently seeking a motivated and dependable Fabricator Helper to join our HVAC Sheet Metal Shop team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in metal fabrication and the HVAC industry. The Fabricator Helper will work closely with the Fabrication Lead and take direction from the Shop Supervisor or Shop Manager as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the fabrication of HVAC sheet metal components, including ductwork and fittings 
  • Support machine operators with setup, material handling, and basic operation 
  • Measure, cut, and prepare materials according to specifications and shop drawings 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment 
  • Load, unload, and move materials and finished products within the shop 
  • Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines 
  • Perform general shop duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred 
  • Strong willingness to learn and take direction 
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on work 
  • Ability to read a tape measure and follow instructions accurately 
  • Dependable with good attendance and work ethic 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods 

Preferred (but not required):

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or construction environment 
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
