What is Meta University?

Meta University is a paid summer internship program offered by Meta (formerly Facebook) for undergraduate students interested in pursuing careers in technology. The program is designed to provide students from underrepresented backgrounds with mentorship, technical training, and hands-on experience working on real projects at Meta. It typically lasts for 8-12 weeks and includes opportunities to network with professionals, attend workshops, and build valuable skills that can lead to future employment in the tech industry.

During the Meta University internship, participants often collaborate on real-world projects alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams. These projects are designed to address current challenges faced by Meta’s products and services, allowing interns to make meaningful contributions while developing their technical and teamwork skills. This collaborative environment helps build a strong professional network and provides insights into Meta’s agile development processes.
